OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Euromonitor’s latest new product launch is Passport E-Commerce, which launched in April 2023. This solution uses a mixed-method approach to measure online retail sales by category, manufacturer, brand and retailer in consistent fashion across major markets (currently 15 countries). Reporting to the Senior Project Manager E-Commerce, this role will support the ongoing delivery, growth and development of this new product.
The Senior E-Commerce Analyst will be responsible for implementing new data sources and methods, ensuring that published data are consistently of the highest possible quality and updated according to schedule. They will also support the Senior Product Manager to drive the continued evolution of the product offer to better meet our clients’ needs. Finally, they will help manage subscription service deliveries and engage with clients directly to ensure high quality service.
To achieve these goals, the Senior E-Commerce Analyst will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Data Science, Via Data Quality, Catalyst, Syndicated Research, Analytics, the New Product team, and third-party data providers. The successful applicant must demonstrate strong collaboration skills, with a proven track record for working effectively, constructively and positively across multiple teams.
This role sits within a wider Channels Practice, where the Senior E-Commerce analyst will be part of a broader group working across syndicated systems to ensure methodological consistency and data alignment. They will be expected to provide input and encourage best practices for mixed and centralized research methods at a business level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior E-commerce Analyst’s responsibilities will fall into four principal areas. (Please note, there is more in depth information about each area on the full job description, which will be shared with you if you are selected to move through the interview process)
1. Building syndicated E-Commerce data for Passport (45% of time)
The Senior E-Commerce Analyst will directly support the creation and delivery of e-commerce sales data for Passport. They will work within the methodological framework set for E-commerce to transform all data inputs into a coherent, commercially compelling published data set.
2. Executing data checks and quality control (20% of time)
The Senior E-commerce Analyst will carry out data checks to ensure overall quality, informing the Senior Project Manager when data is ready for delivery.
3. Delivering subscription services and client support/engagement (25% of time)
In addition to the syndicated data for Passport, the Senior E-Commerce Analyst will help manage the creation of custom data deliveries under the umbrella of Subscription Services.
4. Product evolution (10% of time)
The product will evolve over time and our data is at the core of that evolution. Working with the Channels Practice leadership, the Senior E-commerce Analyst will help shape the evolution of the sources and methodology as well as the published datasets themselves.
